Things are moving and shaking here at Animas Valley and we are looking forward to seeing everyone. On Wednesday, August 26th from 9:00-10:00 AVE will host a socially distanced Meet the Teacher. Teachers will be positioned around the building outside, in the same location that your student will go for morning arrival/drop off at 7:30 am daily. Please remember to wear your masks, including any child(ren) in Kindergarten and above. Teachers will have boxes to collect student supplies if you want to drop them off ahead of time. Chromebook check out will also be available at this event for students that have requested technology support for the blended or remote models.

Please be on the lookout for an IC message with your child’s assigned cohort and teacher sometime today, Tuesday, August 25th. Classroom assignments will also be posted by the grade level zones during our Meet the Teacher event.
Last week and this week our teachers have been working in their classrooms, preparing their spaces for students based on guidance outlined in the district’s Return to Learn Plan and our Animas Valley Operational Plan . They have also received training on using itsLearning and are beginning to build lessons within the new platform. As with so much of our new reality, there will be bumps along the way as we all learn this system together, and we are excited at the possibilities that it provides ALL of our learners.
