Green Team 2.0

Green Team 2.0 will be happening again for this year! The plan for the Green Team 2.0 is to expand our sustainability focus and instill environmental awareness in our students and school as a whole. The Original Green Team (1.0) will still be held in the fall and spring working explicitly on the garden.

Joining the Green Team 2.0 means you will work with your teammates to pick an environmentally friendly project to make our school more sustainable. In doing this, students will be able to make plans, see the changes, and learn an immense amount of information about helping keep our planet and community safe through a hands on learning project(s). Additionally, a goal of ours is to encourage every student to begin viewing themselves as leaders while practicing age-appropriate skills. Ms. Smith is in charge of organizing the club with the help of Ms. Choate, Mrs. Myers, Ms. Huston, Mrs. Teresa, Mrs. Owens, Farmer Susan and Farmer Dean. However, we plan to have students lead the discussions with their voices and ideas being our focus. This club is open to K-5th grade students and meetings will be held every other Friday beginning on Nov 1st. Meetings will be from 2:30-3:30 on the following days:

 Since sessions are inside, spots are limited. Please sign up ONLY if you can attend the majority of dates listed above. Please fill out one form per student.
