There will be more than 50 booths, including an information booth for each school in the district. Children are welcome, and there will food, games, and prizes.
"Our mission is to enhance the educational experience for everyone in Durango School District 9-R. We believe that community resources help build stronger, more resilient individuals and communities," said Diana Cruz, DEF Executive Director. "We wanted to create equitable access to resources for students and parents alike. The fair is a convenient way to learn what the community has to offer in one location."
Cruz said there are many opportunities for children in our region, but it can be difficult to find all of them. Whether it's school-level activities, after-school programs, tutoring/ mentoring opportunities, physical activities, after-school care, support services, family resources, or supply giveaways – DEF wants families to know about the support that's available in our community.
