Cohorts to Quarantine - 4.6.21

On April 6, 2021, 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) that an individual is exhibiting severe symptoms COVID-19, causing three (3) cohorts to quarantine at Animas Valley Elementary, Durango High School and a bus route. The school and the district are working proactively with the SJBPH to make the appropriate notifications and next steps for those who may have been in close contact with this individual.

9-R Board of Education Coffee Chat - April 7, 2021

Join 9-R Board of Education members tomorrow, April 7, 2021, from 8-9, to have an informal conversation about how everything is going for you and your student. The meeting will be on Zoom, and a live interpreter will be available.

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration for 2021/22

9-R is encouraging families to register for preschool and kindergarten for the 2021/22 school year as soon as possible. It is vital to ensure staffing and program availability to all of those who need the services. Registration is open and families are encouraged to register ASAP. The district preschool program is licensed to serve 16 students in a class, and currently the district is making budgetary and staffing decisions based on how many classes it needs next year.

Cohorts to Quarantine - 3.9.21

Between March 6-9, 2021, 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) of individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, causing 5 cohorts across Durango High School, Park Elementary and Riverview Elementary to quarantine. The schools and the district are working proactively with the SJBPH to make the appropriate notifications and next steps for those who may have been in close contact with those individuals.

9-R Weekly COVID Response Summary - 2.26.21

This week our community continues to remain in yellow on the COVID-19 dial for our region. These fluctuations are the reason the district will not move on its Return to In-Person Learning Matrix until 14 days of steady community transmission rates, as well as personnel availability remains stable.

For this week of February 22, 2021, seven (7) cohorts, six (6) at Durango High School and one (1) at Park Elementary, were put into quarantine.
