Currently just over 15% of the Bond funds have been committed, with 85% remaining.
Local participation remains strong, with 69% of funds allocated locally (including charter allocations).

Durango 9-R Student Support Services and School Liaisons are looking for volunteers to build six Little Free Library Boxes with the goal of increasing book access and reading opportunities for students in our community.

Durango School District 9-R has the opportunity to accelerate highly advanced gifted children under age 5 for kindergarten and/or under age 6 for first grade. This Early Access is for those eligible students if their birthdays fall after October 1st.  It is intended to support students who are evaluated to be exceptional in aptitude/cognitive reasoning, academics, school readiness, and motivation.

The next 9-R Board of Education Regular Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25, 5:30-8:00PM.

As we navigate the latest surge in COVID-19, we encourage 9-R families and staff to continue to support efforts to keep one another safe and healthy.

The Durango School District 9-R seeks community feedback and input as a final Academic Calendar for the 2021/22 school year is adopted.
In this survey, two calendars are presented.
Please submit your response by January 19, 2022.

Our community supported the 4A Bond ballot initiative, infusing the Durango School District 9-R with $90M in funding for capital projects and improvements. Part of the promise to the community included engagement and support of local businesses and vendors in the bond projects.
